TJ and Access Plus Racing all set for 2023 PSBK title decider at Clark Speedway

TJ Alberto, Lawrence Macalinao, and Access Plus Racing will be in full force at the Philippine Superbike Championship (PSB) this weekend as the series returns to the Clark International Speedway for the final round of the season. The team is also fielding a 3rd wildcard entry with Troy Alberto joining right in the middle of the title decider.

Debuting the latest 2023-spec Panigale V4 R and V4 S, both Ducati riders were dominant all year. Alberto and Macalinao went on to win 12 races and score 8 more podiums finishes shared between them in the Pro and Expert categories. Riding the #26 Panigale V4 S, Macalinao even managed to land on the Pro class podium on 2 occasions. Although small but costly errors and unexpected technical issues prevented them from running away with the championship, the team is proud of successfully finishing all the races this year and consistently within the top 3 positions.

Both riders hold onto a slim 3 point lead in their respective classes, leaving them no room for error at the season finale this 14th and 15th of October. But the 4.189 km in Pampanga has always been Access Plus Racing’s strongest suit and the team has never finished lower than 1st place on this track this 2023 so far.

The Philippine Superbike Championship (PSBK) will host its title decider at the Clark International Speedway this weekend. Qualifying will take place on Saturday (October 14) followed by Race 1 and 2 on Sunday (October 15) where the 2023 champions will be crowned.

TJ Alberto, #77:

“It’s the last race weekend of the year, so first of all I want to enjoy it and do my best for everyone who supported this project. We had a good test session last week and really looking forward to the season finale at Clark, which is a track I enjoy a lot. Of course I want to keep my championship title and we all know how much points I have to score to do that, but I guess we just have to do our best and let God do the rest.”
