TJ returns to winning ways at Clark International Speedway – debuts 2023 Ducati

TJ Alberto’s domination of the 2023 Philippine Superbike Championship (PSBK) continued in the latest round of the series at the Clark International Speedway last weekend, the two time and defending champion romping to another double win aboard his Ducati Panigale V4.

Qualifying second, missing the Pole by the narrowest of margins, TJ once again showed his speed, determination, and natural racing ability in the two ten lap encounters, securing the win in both by 0.286s and 0.209s, respectively.

The results keep TJ in the hunt for the overall championship as he looks to become a three-time back-to-back champion this year.

TJ Alberto:

“It was good to be back on track after a short break after round two. We had a good test session during the rounds, and I was eager to redeem myself after the crash and the mechanical that we suffered in the last round. I have had good results at Clark International Speedway in the past and was confident that we could do well this time around. I qualified second and was able to lead from start to finish in race one. It was extremely hot, but I was able to maintain a good rhythm and keep my rivals behind. It was also a relief, especially after having a month off to be able to come back in such a strong way. I knew race two would be close and it was over thirty-five degrees just sitting on the grid. My closest rival led into turn one, but I remained calm, and I was able to pass him into turn one just before half distance. I was able to hang on to get the double which is essential for us in terms of our championship. The next race is also at Clark International Speedway and will be the second time for us to race the new 2023 bike, which we used for the first time this past weekend. To take two wins on the new bike which we haven’t fully dialed in gives me a lot of confidence for the rest of the season – game on!”
