Access Plus Racing aim to repeat PSBK success as championship returns to BRC

Scoring full points in both the Pro and Expert classes last month, Access Plus Racing is headed to the second round of the Philippine Superbike Championship (PSBK) this weekend with full confidence. Timothy Joseph “TJ” Alberto and teammate Lawrence Macalinao will both be aiming to secure the top spot of the podiums once again on their return to the Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC).

Equipped with the latest-spec Ducati Panigale V4 R and V4 S, the duo were able to dominate the 2023 season opener. Alberto and Macalinao would share 2 pole positions, 2 race victories in the Pro category, and another 2 wins in the Expert category between them to earn 50 points each towards the championship.

The team, however, isn’t letting their guards down even if they’re back at the same 3.500 km track. Access Plus Racing have been testing heavily over the last few weeks to further improve on their race pace. Setup changes to their pair of Ducati Panigale V4s have allowed them find gains at every turn, which should help both Alberto and Macalinao confidently push for solid results.

Round 2 of the 2023 Philippine Superbike Championship gets the green light this weekend from the 3rd to 4th of June at the Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC). Qualifying takes place on Saturday morning to determine the grids for Race 1 on Sunday morning and Race 2 in the afternoon.

TJ Alberto, #77:

“Coming from a perfect season opener last month, our only wish is to get the same results as we return to BRC. We’re sure that the other teams would have made some steps forward to try to close the gap and we need to answer back with our own improvements. Looking forward to the races and hope to have fun on track.”
