Top ten on racing return in Malaysia for TJ Alberto and Access Plus Racing Ducati
Following his early season spill, TJ Alberto was back on track in the latest round of the 2022 Asia Road Race Championship at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.
Qualifying eleventh, TJ powered his Access Plus Ducati Panigale V4R to a solid eighth place finish in Saturday’s opening twelve lap encounter before claiming eleventh on Sunday.
Happy to have two race finishes under his belt the #77 is fully focused on the next round of the ARRC series which takes place at Sugo in Japan in the middle of August.
Before then TJ will begin the defence of his Philippine Superbike title.
TJ Alberto:
“With only having ridden a bike four time on track before this race was not easy but I was able to find some confidence as the weekend went on and I’m going home with a smile on my face. I am happy to score points in both races although P8 and P11 is not where we should be, but all things considered we must take the positives, especially after the injury I had. I am looking forward to the next race at Sugo in Japan where I will be 100% fit and ready to give it my all. I want to say a big thanks as always to the team who did a great job throughout the weekend.”
